I am a burn surgeon and director of the burn center at Vanderbilt University. I love what I do and I work with an amazing group of people. I am married to an amazing women and we have five wonderful children. When not working, I enjoy marathon running, martial arts, camping, and gardening.
The Vanderbilt Burn Center is a regional 29 bed burn center that serves pediatric and adult patients in eight states in the southern United States. The center is a comprehensive facility with an ICU, rehab floor, and outpatient clinic in one location. The center is staffed with four surgeons, four surgical intensivist. We train residents, fellows, nurse residents, nursing students, and paramedic students. Another alliance we are very proud of is providing burn training to military medics from 101st Airborne from Ft. Campbell and Special Forces Medics from Ft. Bragg.
